View and Manage Space Permissions - Cloud Version

Open the Space Permissions Tab

In order to view and manage the space permissions:

  1. Open the admin panel

  2. In the left navigation bar, select “Forge Apps” then “Permission Management”

Selecting the user or group

To view or manage space permissions you have to select the respective user/group:

  1. Open the respective dropdown to select a user or group

  2. Type at least two characters of the name of the user/group you want to select

Tip

They do not have to be the first two characters of the name.

Filter the shown spaces

You can filter the spaces, which will be shown:

  1. By space name: All spaces containing your search term will be shown

  2. By space label: All spaces with at least one of the chosen labels will be shown

Attention

Currently our app does not know the space labels available in your Confluence Cloud Instance. So make sure to spell them correctly, else the spaces won’t be found.

 

 

 

Editing space permissions

After selecting a user/group, you can edit their space permissions:

  1. Click on the according checkboxes, where you want to set/remove permissions for the selected user/group

  2. When you are done making changes, click on “Save permission changes”
    (You don’t need to save the changes you made, before going to the next page)

Tips

  • Changes will be marked with a red background, so you always know what was the orignal setting.

  • If you want to apply/remove all permissions to/from a user/group for a space, you can use the checkboxes on the left side of the list.

  • In case you selected a user, checkboxes will have a blue background if the user has permissions for that case by a group membership.
